Are survey websites good or bad?

So today I cam across a number of make money online survey websites, and if you’re new to the game of making money online, then these types of websites will be very appealing to you.

There’s a literally hundreds of these survey companies available on the internet that it can be difficult to choose which are the best to join. Some of the more popular survey companies are Pinecone Research, iPoll and iPsos isay.

These companies are basically the “go between” for big companies like Target and Walmart to gain specific customer feedback about everyday consumer products or services the average person buys.

This information is valuable to the these big companies as it can help them to create new products that might be missing in the market place, or modify existing products to make them more attractive to buyers or even get rid of products that might be negatively impacting revenue.

So with that in mind, this information is worth a lot of money as it can negatively or positively impact their annual revenue model.

Therefore these companies are willing to spend a lot of money gather this intelligence and as a result employ third party agencies like the ones mentioned above to do the gathering for them.

They pay these survey companies for each successful survey completed and in return the survey companies pay the people who complete the surveys, taking a cut of the proceeds for making the transaction happen.

As a result you the survey taker gets paid, the big company gets the valuable information and the survey company who introduced bought the two parties together get a small commission for their part in the transaction.

At the end of the day everyone is happy – right?

In a lot of cases this is the case, however, you don’t have to look too far on the net to see that this is not always the case, in fact what I have seen is quite the opposite. People filling out surveys and NOT being paid for their time and effort.

This results in people getting upset with the survey companies and letting everyone know about it.

But are they really to blame?

If not, who’s fault is it?

At the end of the day the survey company wants to pay you, because in doing so they get paid their commission and then they use you again to provide data for a different company. So it doesn’t make any sense for them to stiff you.

So does that mean the big companies are stiffing you?

Well, all they want is the data so they can do their jobs as well and if the data doesn’t provide them with the intelligence they need to complete their job then why pay for meaningless information.

So it is probably a combination of the two.

The survey companies are not gathering the right type of data to satisfy the requirements of the big companies.

I guess it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day of who is at fault. What really matters is that you’re getting stiffed for something that is out of your control.

So whilst survey companies might seem like a good idea in terms of you being able to make money online, it does have its draw backs. There are many other ways to make money online and one of the best to try is affiliate marketing.
